Stem Day at GYI

Yesterday our young people took part in a special session to celebrate STEM Day, which takes place today. The evening was filled with fun, hands-on challenges designed to spark creativity, teamwork and problem-solving, while showing how exciting science, technology, engineering and maths can be.

Activities included using friction to make two books stick together, building towers out of marshmallows and wooden skewers or spaghetti, and designing paper airplanes to race for a chance to win some chocolates. There was plenty of laughter, curiosity and friendly competition throughout the session, and it was fantastic to see everyone getting involved.

At GYI, we believe it is important to make learning fun and to give young people opportunities to develop new skills outside of school. Sessions like this help build confidence, curiosity and teamwork in a relaxed and supportive environment. We are proud of everyone who took part and made our STEM celebration such an enjoyable success.
