GYI mentioned in Parliament
We are incredibly proud to share that the Gateshead Youth Initiative was recently mentioned in Parliament by Liz Twist MP. During her speech, she highlighted community groups like ours and the impact we make through volunteering and youth engagement.
We were also honoured to be nominated for one of the Red Kite Awards, which celebrate the outstanding work volunteers do across the constituency. This recognition means a great deal to us and to our dedicated volunteer team, who give their time and energy to create safe, positive spaces for young people in our community.
This moment is a testament to what can be achieved when communities come together to support one another. We are so proud to represent Gateshead and to continue helping young people build confidence, connection and a brighter future.
