Friday Youth Night Launch

We launched our very first project on 25 July 2025, and it was an absolute joy to see so many people share their excitement about having a youth project up and running in Winlaton again. Parents were also pleased to hear that they only needed to sign our forms once, making the process simpler and smoother for everyone.

The sessions themselves were an incredible experience. We were genuinely surprised by the level of leadership and confidence shown by the young people who took part. It is our hope that they continue to build on these qualities in future sessions, as our aim is for every programme we run to be as youth led as possible.

The whole project was a valuable learning experience. It reminded us at GYI that no matter how carefully you plan, every session can take on a life of its own. For us, that is a positive thing, as it encourages flexibility, teamwork and creative thinking to make the best of every opportunity that arises.
